norman is not pretty to look at when he sings

I think Hady and Jonathan are the best among the guys.

For the ladies, I thought Rahima did great singing Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps.

Can we get that ah lian Emilee out next week? Laughing

1st group: Jay, Emilee, Gayle, Hady
2nd group: Nurul, Norman, Mathilda, Jon
3rd group: Rahimah, Jasmine, Paul, Joakim

I think the 3rd group is the group with the highest votes, followed by 1st group, then the 2nd group is the lousiest one.

Seriously I think all in the 3rd group are vocally weak, except Rahimah.
It must be because the power of XMMs that Joakim got thru.

I watched the Spectacular 1 and I went GOSH!
Joakim can't sing at all!

The next one to be voted out I hope it's Joakim (quite difficult cos of XMMs!) or Jasmine or Nurul (heard that she got in cos her family and friends voted like crazy, not fans).

I love Hady !

TehJarVu SG

oh so rahima was in the same group as paul… the group was the first to ‘pass’... with the highest votes…

Hello Kitty SG

I dont watch Spore Idol, just that I am bombarded the trailers on TV Mobile. Personally , I think Jonathan has a higher chance of surving in the market if he wins the Singapore Idol. Cos he will have to release a Chinese album if he really wants to make it big. For Paul, no matter how talented a singer he is , he might be able to release an English album and then that's it for him. For a non Chinese contestant, they should have an idea its virtually impossible for them to be as popular as the Stefanies or the JJs. No offence to Taufik but if Sylvester has the right package and the right company willing to pump money in him , he would have been way more popular. Wonder how come so many people still wana join Singapore Idol when it is a route that leads to nowhere. Look at Tanya , she used to sing English songs but now belt out Chinese sentimental ballads and she is so highly sought after by the various international music companies.

Singapore Idol is just a money making avenue for Channel 5. They now have the Singapore Idol demand and the book to promote the show. So what's next, a sticker album? Just be entertained and enjoy the show. Whoever wins doesnt matter. If you are really looking for a possible star in the making or really want to make it big in the music industry, I think Project Superstar 2 gives you a higher chance of doing that. Though it is also getting boring. zZzZz

kopiosatu SG

a bestseller doesn't mean it has very good english within its pages.

all that matters is marketing, and chinese songs are more marketable.

just look at all the ktvs.

Wow. This week's performance is rather disappointing for me.

And what happened to Paul Twohill? Something screwed up at the end?

littlestream SG

Hmm, Jonathan's rendition of Santana's Smooth is a little weak. Good song choice though. Wink

And oh no, oh no...........Twohill went downhill leh. Neutral

xiaodingdung SG

i feel dat jonathan performance is the best 2nite, and ken lim's judging sux Mr. Green

littlestream SG

Huh? Really? I tot it was a bit weak. In fact, for me? I tink Hady was best but then again, it wasn't great. Also weak but better than Jon leh.

TehJarVu SG

how did you watch it?
