The way I saw some (most) cab drivers drive, I'd rather use my
bike, rent a car, take that stinky long waited bus, or leg it and
be late.
Friggin daredevils on our roads, that's what taxi drivers
are!!
So ok, the bus services have their running costs to biatch about,
but as in any businesses, why can't they add value to their service
by at least, being on time and efficient?
What I saw mostly were grouchy-faced bus drivers, impatient on the
road, late on route, turning up empty at bus stop and crawling
along. What's this? First class public transport?
Personally, this whole talk about public transport standards is
really part of a bigger picture; our economy. And in my opinion,
our economy is a very much like a run-away train - going down
hill!
Escalating living costs, jobless rates increasing, radical moves of
bringing in the casinos. What's next?
Fortunate for our government Singapore is small, and thus is real
easy to police and control its people. If we're the size of
Malaysia, I can't say the same. There'd be street demos and
protests that will rival those of Indonesia!
