An operative of Indian decent would probably be better able to infiltrate a Middle Eastern or Central Asian organisation so in terms of HUMINT, it might be plausible that India may have some intel.

However, there's more to intelligence than just this and I kinda doubt that the speed of a country's news networks correspondence is a good measurement of it's Intelligence capability. Besides, aren't intel organisations media shy?

Why shouldn't they be when they are just are still fighting small border ward with pakistan. Also Afgahistan is just over the border, they should be interest on the development.

But using a sweeping statement as India have one of the best intelligence ? think that is too boastful a statement to make ! They may have good regional intelligence, but world wide ? forget it , it is not not bollywood !!!

The sweeping statement even if made in impulse gives food for thought..Like some of u already said..it will be harder for a caucasian to infiltrate these countries than someone who can easily pass off as an Iraqi or Afghanistani..

Till now US could still not track India's using spy statellites..India knows how to avoid them :

In fact every army in the world knows, how to avoid spy satellites. A lot of countries have been buy satellites photos from the US and also know when the satellites will pass by overhead each time. Yep by the way US have "blackbird" which can overfly india and take picture before you can even intercept that plane, so what so cocky about india !!!
