For some people, if they slouch it hurts their back. Sitting
rigidly may be more comfortable for them. Also, if you slouch when
sitting in the cinema, there is a tendency to "kick" or "knee" the
seat in front of you. It doesn't help that some seats (esp. in
older cinemas) were seemingly desgined when the average height was
shorter than today...
