Sometimes the driver in charge of activating the announcements
screw up, like this one time I was on this train going towards the
city from the east side. Across me some distance away this tourist
couple. After Tanah Merah stop, reaching Bedok already, instead of
annoucing the correct stop, it said "Chinese Garden"... and as the
train continued going west, the annoucement was going east. That
poor tourist couple got confused
