Moonstriker SG

btw.. a 20mm cannot be considered a MINIGUN anymore.. its too HUGE a calibre to be a MINIgun.

Its the 25mm Bushmaster chain gun. see it everyday last time.. Smile

Well,am wondering if it is really suitable to arm a M113 with a Vulcan chaingun for air-defense purpose. If I’m not mistaken,it fires at what,6,000 rounds per minute? That is a helluva high rate. How can the ammunition be stored or supplied? And its a gun,it will have to be able to constantly track and aim ahead of the incoming jet to be able to hit anything…just my 2cents…

Well, for starters, it can fire 6000rpm, but its not going to be firing all 6000 rounds in that minute. Laughing What is 6000 rounds of ammo to a matchbox? THe matchbox is used to fire motars too. Look at the israelis, they did it with a vulcan cannon.

Whether or not us little soldiers think whether or not M113s + Vulcan = Good,
The armed forces of more than 5 countries among which,
USA
Jordan
Israel
Morocco
Portugal
Sudan
Thailand
Yemen
AND Japan

Have used or are still using M163 Vulcan SPAAGs, or the Towed version.

The M163 has a total load of 2,280 20mm rounds, and fires at a rate of :
1000 / 3000 RPM
1K RPM is used against ground targets and 3K for air.

Max eff. AA range = 1.2 km
Max Ground range = 3 km
Indirect range = 4.5 km

And as to HOW it can store 2,280 rounds....
1,180 ready to fire, and 1,100 in reserve.

crap lah,can’t watch it

Very impressive.. Besides the firepower, the reflexes of the gunner must be very good too.. Look at the speed the copter is flying lohz, hard to track a target after another..

It sickens me to tink that tese beasts r used on humans.. Remember October 3rd 1993.. The Battle of Mogadishu aka Black Hawk Down.. CROWDS of africans (militia, men, women, children) were cut to bits by tese lead-spewing guns... FIREPOWER man.. If a single Black Hawk or Little Bird can do tat, can u imagine wad it'll be like if they deploy one AC-130 Spectre Gunship?
