'185' is the width (where the tread is) in mm '65' is the aspect ratio, or tyre profile or sidewall 'R' means radial construction

To bumbklaatt:

Lancer orrginal spec is 185/65/R14 if u want to upgrade it n do not intend to change your suspension or void the warranty, use the plus one method. In tis case, it will be 195/55/R15. Do not go beyond 205/45/R17 for lancer, if not it might affect ur speedometer reading.

- 255/60R16
- 235/60R16
- 215/55R16
- 205/45R16

the width try not to go beyond 215 as it might affect the turning, especially when doing full turn. sidewall at 45 oredi very nice but dunno u can tahan the hard ride or not. Rim at 16" is good enuf. the wider the width, the bigger the rim going to cost u more.
