LazerLordz SG BBC interview with Lady Elizabeth Choy, OBE http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/1805298.stm she was knighted by the British Empire.
mhcampboy SG I know this is unrelated. But she is not a Lady nor Dame. The award level and seniority doesn't allow her any access to titles. Unless of course she married to a Lord. Did she?
Gordonator SG u mean u all never study about her in history? the Japanese captured and tortured her for more than 200 days during world war II. she was subjected to electric shocks and pumped up with water as part of the interrogation routines. She was brave and never gave in to the Japanese despite all the torture. A true heroine. http://www.mindef.gov.sg/imindef/about_us/history/world_war2/v07n10_history.html http://www.mindef.gov.sg/imindef/about_us/history/world_war2/v03n10_history.html
Medicated Oil SG She is truly a hero and deserved a state funeral for standing up against the Japanese. Not like some one who was a lackey to the Japanese during Occupation. Hope she can reunite with her hubby after some many years of separation.
