I've just found out that Roadies (people who ride Road bikes )
are more affected by distractions than MTB-ers (Mountain bike
riders ).
Why do I say so?
One day I was with my friends at Sentosa. We were onboard the 2nd
level of an open-air double decker bus, going downslope towards the
beach.
Halfway down the slope, we spotted 2 Roadies chionging down by the
side of the road, side-by-side.
Deciding to encourage them (they look like they "pia" very hard ) ,
my friend yelled out "TOGOPARTS!!!!!!!!!! "
In response, one of the Roadies raised both arms and yelled
"WOOOOOOOOOOO! "
Sadly, this action caused him to lose control of his bike and he
buanged into his friend, causing a messy heap by the
roadside!
The Rest of us:

The Roadie who kana buang (to his friend ) : [email protected]#$%!
The guy who yelled Togoparts:
On the other hand, MTB-ers, BMXers and Street Riders (people who
ride FR bikes in urban areas ) are very much unaffected by
distractions and can multitask while riding (eg: Talk on phone on 1
hand, eat and drink using both hands and riding "handless " ,
taking items out of bag (therefore riding handless for a few secs
while the bag is brought to the front , etc..etc..
)
My guess is because Roadies are focused only on pia-ing as hard as
possible that they sometimes become unaware of their surroundings
and a little distraction might prove dangerous!
Fellow cyclists, wad do u all think?
