phyre SG Guys…. saw this vehicle( SUV) with MID number plates just recently near my camp. Funny thing was that all the windows were tinted and it had curtains at the rear window. Doesn’t even look like a common vehicle in spore. Plus it looks damn cool. Any idea what it is….some super classified vehicles or is it for some bigshot in the army. And who drives it?
laurence82 SG Btw, besides the MB recovery vehicle bases use, is there any bigger recovery vehicles? My friend claim he saw one during his arty battalion exercise, where one lift one tonner up onto a hilltop...i tot he is kidding me..
storywolf SG Could be the 36th Combat engineers ( bomb squad ) they got some SUVs recently, so that the team do not create a scene when they arrive in it compare if they arrive in a landrover that say bomb-disposal.
cornyfish2000 SG I've seen it too.. it was in the papers and also on display at the AOH a few months back. Can't remember exactly who drives it but it's definitely not for the bigshots in the Army (who already have MID-plated Audis and Mercs at their disposal, won't bother with an SUV).

gonegoose SG phyre, what i suspect you saw was a Ssangyong Rexton. SAF purchased a number of them at the middle of his year. It appeared in a press release which i saw on Channelnews Asia (couldn’t find it anymore). Its exact purpose is unknown to me….. try asking someone in 1/3 Tpt Bn! haha
shoutcast SG its the future rover replacement i tested it before ez to scratch due to its shiny surface hard to use cos the luggage on top , no place for signal set good bcos got aircon + radio mods delete this if its too sensitive
Johnston SG ???? Last i looked, GP cars and Minibuses had aircon and radios also. Ok, so they didn't work a lot of the time.
