How good are Singaporean ladies drivers?

He did mention 40% being males, indirectly. Anyway, I just happened to notice. Is it because of our mentality that woman tends to be more careful that we kind of expect more from them on the road? Or are they really pushing the limit without knowing theirs? Neutral

I am not discriminating my own gender, but the TRUE fact is that majority of the female drivers are *&^$%@(#)!! I am indeed referring to MOST ladies drivers in Singapore. Embarassed

I stayed and attain my driving licence in Australia and the Australian ladies driver (in particular) does not drive the way singaporean ladies drive on the road. Our neighbour for eg. Malaysia ladies drivers, does not drive this way!!!!!! thumbs down, kia see ---------- female drivers in singapore!!!!!

Haha my ex boss who is a Malaysian female driver is always complaining how terrible the driving of the male drivers here.

That time she was giving me a long rant on how their ego cannot take it when a female cuts into the lane, and at that point of time, she cut into this old man's lane and he honked at her though he was driving like a snail.

Very often i drive to MY .. i felt that the motorists there r abit hesitant when filtering lane .. sometimes i give up the tot to give way coz they r too slow in reacting liao ley..

Perhaps someone should do a survey on how many of the accidents in sg involves male , & female drivers…statistics beats stereotypical views . Most of the road hoggers i have seen are male actually…kia see old men drivers… in other words uncles in their 50s and 60s.. & men have their fair share of causing accidents too… And such accidents occue not becoz of gender.. but the driver’s skills,concentration & reaction…

hmm statistics would only apply to accidents so not really a good measure since it doesn't accoutn for road hogging scraping of objects etc. in addition there is a chance that females have lower accident rates if only because of sterptype which aviod them or are more careful around them

And there are lotsa females driving on the roads today.... if u're (by any chance) a driver.... you must have had a great time avoiding them...and looking into cars to check whether the drivers females... and choosin who to aviod and not.....dude..it would be better if you keep your eyes on the road....

Anyway. That's a pretty vague assumption IMO.

Low accident rates involving females = because people like you are avioding
them on the roads, thanks to people

hey relax and must you bring in my mother? personal insults? i was just pointing out that because there is a stereotype that might occur, i did not saying it is the only cause or that it must be the case. hell i'm not even on any side.

anyway i drive so i know that you do have time to look around and find cars to avoid for example i aviod the big trucks and stone carrying vehicles or very old and poorly upkept cars. i also make it a point to keep out of the way of/be more careful around old people driving.

lol. my apologies. I meant, their (those guys who get into accidents) mums, not yours. I was just jokin ard since u said females are less prone to accidents because guys like you aviod them, and we should thank the males (instead of the fact that there are females who are good drivers). So whether females get involved in accidents or otherwise… they are still lousy drivers…thats what you meant?

somehow female drivers dun give much respect to motorcyclist on the road leh.

Kenna a lot of times.. when i ride in the middle of the road, cars just cut into my lane and expect me to give way. mostly, they are either lady drivers or Taxi's.

But one thing quite confirm, a lot of ladies drivers sux at parking cars in shopping centre carparks.. Wink

Parking is coz of motor skills which guys are bulit by nature to be better in that area but I do know of girls who can parallel park a van in one attempt all the time.

nope actually i'm not on either side i'm just pointing out that the statistics may not be that good due to various elements like pple watching out and being careful around female drivers due to sterotypical thinking. so even if less females are involved in accidents it may not indicate good driving althoguh it doesn't mean they are bad/lousy

Good to hear that you're not on either side....I'm not too. I've known of some good as well as lousy guy/female drivers too.. but if satistics fails to determine these...so wad can you use to guage such claims? purely based on stereotypes, hearsays?

Anyway such stereotypes ain't gonna change in the next few centuries...males are always deemed to be more superior and standard norms..and females are only deviations from the norms...any few more posts in this thread wouldn't make much diifference...i'm outta here...
