What was that?

In the latest edition of the Pioneer magazine there is an article about an instructor for the SAF shooting contingent. There is a pic whereby the SAR-21 firer's weapon have a barrel-like looking extension below the barrel,at where the laser pointer is. At first i thought it was a M2O3 barrel but then i realise that it looks a bit small for that. Further more i don't think they have M203 item in the shooting competition. Can anyone tell me what is that for? Very Happy

SAR21 with collapsible front grip, not for foot soldier.

I know of a front grip for SAR-21, however what i saw on the picture is that it is hollow so does not look like a grip of any sort. Further more it doesn't looked foldable to me. Lastly why will they want to use a rifle with a front grip for a shooting competition? Unless it is for the photos... Very Happy
