Conincidentally two of my close fren bought a 1991 corolla and
sunny together ... 3 years ago.... they have since sold them off
and upgrade to new kia and Hyundai currently.... I have also test
driven their old car... must say its quite a pain to drive after
been driving and driven in brand new cars all these while. But of
cos it still quite acceptable if you are not so particular about
comfort , refinment
They have of cos given my fren lots of problem such as timing belt
replacement, shocker absorber, radiator, alternator, leaking window
seal , worn clutch just to name a few....infact my fren called it a
timebomb
However in my opinion...if you can bargain down the cars to paper
value its may be a good buy... you have to be prepared ..... if the
engine really conk out big time and need a major repair.. you
should just send it to scrap yard and recover the paper value then
repairing them...
The depreciation should be less than 3 K per year anything
higher... you are better off driving a brand new hyundai or kia
