wuming78 SG hm.. the camo cloth does not have as good an effect as the camo net. it does not break the shape of the helmet.

palmerised SG went to the paya lebar open house last time.. then they were displaying kevlar helmets of various sorts lah.. so i went up to one and began knocking on the helmet just for the fun of it.. then this guy in uniform came up to me and said "excuse me sir could you please stop doing that or else you'll damage it.." i was like, WTF!? i didn't know what to say so i just left. i mean come on lah, the damn helmet cannot tahan knocks by my knuckles then how they gonna stop small-arms rounds?
wuming78 SG you should have posed this question and see how the guy responded! there may be some things we never know - things like a kevlar helmet being able to stop a round but not withstand knocks.
palmerised SG know what? i kick myself everytime whenever i think about that incident.. i mean like seriously, i was too shocked to say anything! i just froze there. short-circuit. ooda loop cut. that kind... i mean there i was happily knocking on the pasgt and here comes this guy(he looked like some air-force sarge or officer, didn't see) and he tells me to stop knocking or else you'll damage the display. the irony was that above it (if i remembered correctly) wrote 'helmets used by our troops' or something like that.. lol.
gerleen SG whatever it is ... we must still treat our helmet with respect ... i will just placed it in my cabinet, together with my nos 4 ....imagine, without them esp the helmet, will u have the guts to go to the range for firing .....
