Defence Technology Prize 2004
On 10 Nov 2004, members from the defence and security community,
research institutions and schools will gather to honour some of the
best defence scientists, engineers and technologists in Singapore.
Selected individuals and teams from the local defence technology
community will be presented with the prestigious Defence Technology
Prize 2004 at a ceremony held at Suntec Singapore International
Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The Minister for Defence, RAdm (NS) Teo Chee Hean will present the
award to the winning teams and individuals who have made
significant contributions towards the development of Singapore's
defence science and technology capabilities.
Established in 1989, the Defence Technology Prize has since grown
in stature and importance and is now considered the most prestigous
award given at the national level by Ministry of Defence.
Attendance is strictly by invitation only.

3G SAF TechX
In conjunction with this year's Defence Technology Award, the
defence technology community will be showcasing our wide array of
projects to provide members of the public how we leverage on
technologies and use it in defence-related applications,
experimentation as well as research and development.
At the 3G SAF TechX, we will demonstrate the whole array of
technological capabilities as a system of systems, where visitors
are given a chance to experience how the 3rd Generation (3G) SAF
could operate in the future. More than 50 projects from 13
organisations are showcased in the exhibition.
The future battefield would greatly leverage on advanced
technologies and the power of networks to integrate weapon systems,
from sensor to shooter, through highlyadaptive, robust and secure
command and control systems. Do join us at the 3G SAF TechX and
journey through for a better understanding of the transformation of
the SAF into a 3G fighting force.
