Kar98K is a great rifle!!
Others include the Cheaupot(spelling?)the best breech loading rifle of it's time though it came alittle earlier!!Gatling and ofcuz the machine gun(maxim!) changed the face of warfare!

the FN FAL or SLR is another iconic rifle.

MP42 was one of the best MGs in years.

the MP44 (i think) is the ancestor of the modern assault rifle.

the Spanish CETME mod. L and LC is remembered for pioneering the legendary Delayed blowback roller system and later was licenced to H&K to become the famous G3 assault rifle.

The M1 Garand… The rifle tat won the war!! The very words from Supreme Allied Commander Dwight D.Eisenhower back in WWII. The M1’s semi-auto capability gave it a HUGE edge against the bolt-action standard infantry rifle, the KAR98K, of the Germans.. 30.06 calibre, smooth mahogany wood finish, and an 8-round clip.. MmmMmm, /me masturbates.. LoL

The Japanese copied the Garand, but am not sure if the rifles were issued to their troops.
