Båseline SG British comedies like "Mind your Language", "Blackadder" and this fella who dons various roles (can't remember his name) makes the bulk if English entertainment. Jing Qu Long Hu Bang (Mandarin version of Top Ten Songs) on the weekends. Every few months or so, I would go down to this shop (which sells CDs and Casettes) to dub the latest Top Ten songs in a Casette for a small fee. There was the time where Motorola pagers were quite common that when it sounds off in a bus or plcae... u can see many ppl chking their pockets and bags to see if it's theirs. haha. Can buy Dunhill ciggs by sticks. Mama shop stocked those cylinder tins filled with these. It was also a boom time for Japanese Drama serials. San Ren Shing, The Volleyball one, The Ultraman series (Man, I love those stage sets. hahaha) and many others. Playing cards with themes (Aircrafts, Submarines, Sports Car). Players slugged each other out by outplaying ya opponents with bigger or smaller data, depending on the data one call out for. Singtel was the only Telco. Carrom. Usually played in CC around my old estate back then during the weekends. Players need to declare which errr... seed to hit. Remember..."No sound no count?" "backstroke"?? hahaha
