I believe its not so much a spirit. Rather, guns calls for a
deep form of respect, and out of this respect people easily mistake
things and term a spiritual existance.
We respect the guns because they are what is used to kill and
protect ourselves. Knives can also have spirits then, and I did
hear that before. This can be likened to the Colours of a unit. The
guns of the artillery, incidentally, are also accorded the respect
of a Colour.
