dun mean to brag, but i've taken on sti's (dunno their level of
mod though, maybe stock) and honestly not very impressive. they may
have more power quoted on paper but in terms of performance, u
should not be so shallow and look only at power. a smart person
will tell u that power to weight ratio is a more important
consideration 2 determine a fast car. the dc5R weighs almost 200
kgs less than the rex. go figure.
gt version is 5 speed lah. only the gsr spec comes in 6 speed. i
can get the RS or gt spec at 135k, spend 10k on mods and still blow
away ur sti with 30k mods while keeping 5k in my pocket for petrol
and tid bits. fyi, the evo ix is rated at "only" 280 hps on paper.
actual figures are supposedly closer to 300.
for bhp per dollar and performance per dollar, the rex is really
a good buy. but like i said, with the price drop and affordability,
we start to have a scenario where ppl who want one juz to "satisfy
the rush of adrenaline" all start buying the car without
understanding the car enuff to own it responsibly.
