SAF Ammunition fires all the time?

Hi all,read the topic and u can guess wat i'm tokin bout.Read from some book in the library (during Vietnam war,Chartered Industries produced 5.56cal. rounds were so efficient and the Aussies bought 3,000,000 rounds and not a single stoppage,and were much of the American's envy)and during this yr's AOH that the ammunition manufactured by SAF will fire each and everytime.

However,found that this isn't true.Fired M-16 and that had a no. of times where is due to ammunition problem.Please share your experience.

Most of the time fire M-16, ammo no problem, operator got problem, make until the ammo got problem. Laughing

You may find the fact that our Rifles might have come from USMC base Da Nang, South Vietnam pertinent to the massive amount of IA.
Which in other words their old enough to be our fathers.

I cannot answer for you whether or not CIS produced 5.56 ball/tracer factory ammunition is faulty or not, as we are not given the chance to use ammo produced elsewhere, like Winchester, or Remington for instance.

But logically, whether or not your weapon fires depends on three things.
Weapon - is it maintained?
Ammo - is it in good condition?
Magazine - is it properly seated? Feed lips bent?

You get the idea.

It's still the PERSON who uses the weapon which results in it.

Never clean, never oil etc....

The weapon, once FFF, will work, and ppl blame everything from rifle to target to bullets when IA when they dun realise it's their prob. 'cos they never load mag properly or never cock properly etc....

So it's the user problem.....Rifle where got problem when sitting innocently on the rack sia...
