no lah.. i only saw this thread like 20 mins ago... but i seen those cars like in the last 1-3 years.

so i can't really travel back in time to take the pictures.

Anyway... the corvette and corolla are US embassy vehicles with the S xxxx CD plates.

The Hummers drove into my camp.

the Durango seen few months back at Hotel Mandarin Car park.

indonesian porsche...... was parked at a URA car park.. seen like few years back.

There's a yellow Hummer H2 in Singapore sometimes... saw it at Meritus Mandarin, behind Wisma, and driving past Lido on 3 different occasions... think it's the Sultan's Son's car issit? Someone here said it was...

Not to flame you but have you ever seen a Dodge Viper in Singapore before? Cos I remembered someone saying that he/she saw one on the ECP towards Changi Airport escorted with a few traffic police. Just want to clarify whether there's really such a car in Singapore. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong? Hmm.. Out of curiosity, then those cars you saw, such as the Corvette and Hummer, did you get a closer look to see whether there's an IU installed in the car or not? Rolling Eyes

Sorry, double post.

ceecookie SG

the scoop look cool BTW..

and how come last time when i was in CHIJMS carpark i saw a SUV( maybe a hummer or so) with a NZ numbe plate?and yesterday ard 11am i saw a red AE86 Trueno at the Jurong West intersection that got one road leading to the expressway....

Ponders SG

Hmm... dodge viper would be really rare.. but i don't see how's its not possible.

US Embassy has generous arrangements for their staff to bring in personal vehicles regardless left or right hand drive. In most cases, their staff is allowed to bring in their vehicle IF local laws permits. Singapore law is quite open to car import so long you are willing to pay tax (which embassies are exempt).

Anyway, the corvette and hummer... don't really notice their IU... but i guess corvette should have... the hummer... they were only shipped in for Exercise Carat Gold (?) then shipped out after. so no need for IU. I don't think Traffic Police even bother fining them.

ANyway..... just saw a Nissan Skyline (V35, not R34) today. Think only a few in singapore. V35 is... in North America the Infiniti G35.
