Hey buddy FYI, Saving private ryan was based on the OMAHA sector story, which was 1st infantry div's responsibility, not the marines. The only marines around that day were the 41st (SWORD beach) and 48th (JUNO beach) royal marine commando under the British.

Most of US marines hanged out in the pacific theater..
