hi , just been posted to regimental police , so wondering if any of the guys here can tell me what is it all about?

btw , getting posted to rp is quite easy or quite rare?

anyway, you are now the gate keepers of SAF camps. Everyone want to avoid guard duty right? Your vocation IS guard duty. Comes with some priveledges.

well my friend's side is 3 days then rest 2 days i think... continuous hours.

live range... i think for combat guys have to go for live range.

and its not a pay. u just get combat allowance, definately more than service side.

3 days one shot ? wa , that mean 72hrs of guard duty?

any former rps here? what are the daily duties? i heard that being a rp , you won`t have any wkends?is this true?

anything that has gotta do with duty, no such thing as weekends... only got such thing as day off

the above scenerio only apply to most RSAF bases n camp..if u are posted to any of the FDSs..u will definitely be doing shift duty...n your RP or field defence course will be 3 mth long...

most SAF RP only work 8 to 5 n their course only 2 weeks..

btw..im a FDS RP..

i`m post to changi naval base , so base on that what type of rp do u think i will be?

FDSs are airbases ground troop, which handle the base security n defence of the airbases...

for Naval Bases RPs..i think they are 8 to 5 also..not sure..u can ask around..

wat i think of my life as a FDS trooper?

before 911..nobody respect u..think we are some kind of pest..

but after 911...everybody need u..even the pilot come to u for advise..

im proud to be in FDS TAB...we've done lotsa impossible thing..

btw..FDSs RP in future will be call Airforce Trooper(sound very gay)..no more RP.. Mr. Green

my friend told me that naval base also is something like FDS , can you tell me about the training? is it very xiong?

not xiong at all..i would say its only 50% of a normal infantry unit training..
its very similar to SISPEC training..but stretch into 2 years..so not xiong at all..

during my time..we practise 1 mth duty, 2 weeks training...tat was before 911..
not sure abt now..

training got section live firing, platoon live firing, GPMG Live Firing, M203 Live Firing, SAW Live, LAW or Sub Cal live n sometime got Orlikon Gun Live..

the most siong will be the occasional 5km fast march n the Defence Ex against the commandos..tats all...

how is the 3 months course like? my friend say it`s like bmt all over again...field camp every 2 days...
