there are too many charities going around, sometimes, with those
attitude "volunteers", you also get septical about their
work.
The very first thing a volunteer will show, is the permit issue by
the organisation and singapore volunteer action corp(if i get the
name wrong, sorry). Then, his pass to show his name and ic
number.
I dont mind donating for a good cause, but i dislike those, who
approaches you with stack of coupons, esp while you are
eating.
Most of them work as a part time, and earn a commission if they are
selling coupons with the amount stated. If they are requesting for
donation on a regular basis(like monthly), then they are full timer
who earn a fix income from the organisation...
To what organisation you donate to, always ask what it is for,
which gp of pp u are helping, what is the current working finance,
the actual place of the home(and not the organisation address),
etc...
You are fortunate, to be surfing the net, running, studying,
gorging, BUT there are many unfortunate, who cannot even do simple
things on their own. If you can, do your part, for, a small part of
your kindness, can add up to become enormous strength to them...
Lastly, dont donate blindly (esp when you see chio bu 
)
