singapore design building our own fighters?

Do you guys think it is pratical for us to built our own fighter jets so our neighbour know that we are that advanced to built our own fighter jets which only few countries had done so. It also meant that we need not depend on other countries for planes. Ohter countries also will had a much harder time trying to guess how much planes we had in the RSAF.

Do other countries had much idea exactly how many fighters are there? DOn’t forget that what happen after the french sold taiwan planes and frigates. They got so scared by China that they give them the plans.

you can conpare F-16 /m2k with Ching Kuo.....ching kuo is just a better plane of F-5E/F
