Just like everybody else, I thought Singapore is very efficient. I moved house in Dec. I had my address changed in the same month. I thought all government dept will be informed automatically. Can you imagine I got a fine for not renewing my TV licence a few months later? Yes quite a few month.I explained that I shifted out of the house and no more living there. In fact I was paying the license in the new house, why should I need one in the old one where no body lives. Well I had to write in and they consider the case and waive the fine. Then the second year, same thing happened...... write again.

Yes thats it. PAP always say the govt dept how good how good right? So we can rule out inefficiency. The only conclusion left? Govt pretending not to know change of addresses so they can issue more fines! PAP u've been exposed!

Just reading about this, if it's true, makes me fume.

It reflects on the idiocy of how some entities are run. How on earth is the person going to know that he/she has to report to MDA for that?
