We seem to suffer from abuse of proper terms in the SAF
SBO = Skeleton Battle Order - No.4, Webbing,
Identity Disc (not dog-tags), FAD (First Aid Dressing not
'Kortex'), weapon (either SAR, M-16 etc), combat load (I think we
have moved from 2.25x contact rate to 1.5x contact rate), SOP items
(varies from unit to unit), other misc. (like comms cord,
torchlight etc.).
FBO = Full battle order - SBO plus fullpack, go figure what's in
there.
Rounds are unfired ammo, the empties are called cartridges when
expended.
Hope we have not confused anyone.
