Gee, something to add
I always thought Buddhists are a tolerant lot, till recent events
changed my mind.
Ancestor worship is a Chinese folk practice, a Taoist practice,
some may dispute. But the issue is not whether you believe it. I am
not sure if the India, the birthplace of Buddhism, has such
thing.
What irk me is that Buddhists had begun a campaign recently to tell
people what is inherently a Chinese folk practice or Taoist ritual
that it is wrong. I had even receive pamphlets on it.
It got so bad, the founder of the Taoism forum highlighted this
issue, and Straits Times article on Vesak Day highlighted some
strong response from the public regarding some strong evangelism of
Buddhism.
Is Buddhism today become a rather intolerant faith?
