If it was HDB, then it means you will not be able to buy HDB for 10 years.
If it was CPF, then your contribution will be raise 50%
If it was LTA , then all your summons will be increase by 100%

u should know that jobs like these are not those suka suka or "held at ransom" jobs esp in a stat board of government organisation. My cousin had the unfortunate situation where he was headhunted by MAS and almost on the brink of putting his ink on the appointment letter when his current boss offerred him a substantial amount of pay rise over the years as his calibre of working is very hard to come across. Alas, he did not sign with MAS but still maintain a slight biz contact with one of the secretaries working there. The secretary told him that all secretaries in the upper echeleons of the HR dept has a column in the govt network called "Job Notes : Removed from Interest". After 3 years of that unfortunate incident, he tried to get a higher credit limit from his bank but surprisingly, his request wasnt approved even though his salary commands a much much much higher credit limit. So go figure Mr. Green

Govt sector job always got database one to check if you applied before. That's why their application form always got that question ask you apply before or not. Laughing If you say no, they check they find out you lying, nexyt time you find govt services do things for you damn slow. If you answer yes, they chuck your application out the window. C'mon even SIA does it, you telling me some stats board doesn't?

How long is "longer"? What happened after the "longer" period? Go apply to the same company again? I am not HR but common sense tell me that they will not entertain you the next time you apply again. In my opinion, if you want higher pay, you should first approach your boss before apply for new job.
