Suzuki Ignis Sports or the New Suzuki Swift

Price differs by 3k. Is it really worth it to pay that additional 3k to get a Ignis Sports instead of the New Swift? Would like to hear some views please.

hmm..personally i would go for ignis sports for that extra power..but in terms of outlook, swift is much better. i guess the built in the cabin is ahead of IS too..

ingnis sport is anytime under 10s cos i floor acc through 3rd gear.(when i drove my friend's when he borrow mine)

downside is the rims offset too much..ugly,unless u upside to better rims.

the Fc is good. full tank 500+km...(told by my friend,i dunno, i only know when i whack the bugger can make wheel spin at 2nd gear,its stock ignis sport)

5th grar when floor, u can feel abit of the pull the engine give.

can bring in the 1.6l turbo engine at another $11,280

i feel this car can buy.

If you want a good bang for the buck in the fun dept, don't think you'll regret getting the Ignis Sports, but hey, I may be biased Laughing

get the new swift....it has a 1.5 cylinder engine with 101BHP and it works!!! Laughing

I tried out both cars during the short test run, wasn't able to really tell but it seems like IS isn't that incredibly faster than Swift. Is it really so? After all, if you look at the specs, IS's engine is only slightly more powerful than swift's.

But i must admit, it does feel more driving a swift with its better insulation, suspension. $3000 more and a lot weaker in many other comfort aspects, worth it?

Hi,

The few horses, plus short ratio gear and tuned exhaust, does make a different really.

But of cos, i do admit that the swfit has a nicer and more comfortable interior. They are both targetted at different market.

Well, granted that the IS may not be a lot faster coz they both run with the same M15A engine. But one of the pros of the IS is its handling, it loves corners. Try this : Tell your passenger to hang on, then throw an IS around a bend and feel how it hugs Wink Unfortunately, handling and comfort-driving is a balance, hence the IS prob loses out on comfort compared to the Swift. I'm not saying the Swift's handling isn't as good coz I've not driven the swift, I'm sure its a good car but I think the IS isn't designed to compete with the swift in the comfort dept.
