Hm, actually as long as you step your brake fully, the vehicle
will not move. Putting the gear to N is unless you want it to be
super safe, if not, stepping the brake is enough. Even in the
traffic police test, this is not required.
However, if you're on a slope, then handbrake is neccessary.
