All relationships are between souls, not merely between
incarnated personalities or physical bodies of any one (eg. the
present) lifetime.
Initial attraction may be supported or triggered by physical,
chemical, biological factors, including sexual attraction; but at
the deeper level, it is always a karmic psychospiritual complex
that underlies the relationship between two individuals, and one
that usually encompasses many lifetimes, not merely the
present.
This is especially so, if you find yourself 'strangely' attracted
to a person whom, you might otherwise find nondescript or not
particularly attractive/pretty/stunning. Usually the first time you
meet such a person (with whom you already have a relationship at
the soul level, and whom has potentially an important role to play
in your (individual and combined) existential program(s) for this
lifetime), you will experience a subtle but unmistakable feeling,
like an awareness of recognition, a psychic 'spark', or some other
(positive loving "old friends/lovers"; or negative ominous "oh no
not him/her again") type of feeling.
