Changi Prison..

It's illegal, if you are not aware...

Only terrapins sold at pet shops are allowed...

No turtles or tortoises as pets, otherwise, you can consider having free meals for at least a year. Laughing

the Bear SG

they are endangered... and listed in CITES Appendix 2

if you know and still are actively going about trying to get the tortoise, you are part of the problem and deserve to be in prison...

then find out...

ignorance will get you kicked in the ass...

also, ignorance is no defence in the eyes of the law... everyone must take the responsibility to find out...

always do a CITES check if you want a pet which is out of the ordinary...

Got read newspapers ma? One of them were caught for smuggling in star turtles. And it's stated plainly in the newspapers that it is endangered and anyone wishing to keep it as a pet will risk jail term.

I have leh. :X

ndmmxiaomayi SG

LOL, you better return it to the zoo...

the Bear SG

yeah.. give it to the zoo.. they will know how to look after it… LEGALLY

dahliamorie SG

Really? How will I get caught?

the Bear SG

someone doesn't like you, dobs you in..

or you're seen by someone with it and after all the publicity, people know... and people have become more conservation-minded these days...

it's that simple Wink

besides, give the tortoise a chance to breed and have more in the wild... who knows? with enough of them in the wild, we may be able to have them as legal pets in the future Very Happy
