Yes, the bus driver was wrong to knock down the cyclist and yes
perhaps he should have gotten a heavier sentence. But I simply do
not understand why many amateur and professional cyclists like to
cycle along Lim Chu Kang Road during weekends. I’ve taken a bus
along the road before during weekends and seen those hordes of
cyclists clogging up the narrow road. It’s really dangerous even if
the cyclists take maximum precaution as the road is narrow and
frequently traversed by heavy vehicles which often do speed
regardless of the cyclists.
