I know of a man who won over a million sg dollars in 4D in the
1980s. Today he is divorced, lives in a small flat and not well
off.
How did someone who lived in a condo, ended up so terrible
financially?
After he won, he thought it was very easy to win. He could spend up
to $1000 on 1 number a day. So assuming he spent $1500 a day, $4500
a week, $13 500 in a month, just on 4D.
What about his frequent drinking, possibly of expensive liquors,
tobacco, (although it is cheap in the 1980s - early 90s) travelling
aboard, and he probably had a kept woman outside.
I believe he sold his condo in 1989 and moved to a smaller 3 room
flat.
Gambling can ruin you if you keep thinking you can win, and start
betting in heavy amounts.
