Wat car to buy?

lady76 SG

I was thinking wat car to buy if i can come out $70k cash.

RaTtY81 SG

might as well save better. buy car gonna consider road tax, coe, maintenance fes, petrol, parking coupons….

With $70k, I might buy a Proton Gen 2 as it seems to be a nice car to me. The remaining amount would be used to accessorised the car.

Maybe it's just me, but I never trust Malaysian cars... drove a Wira once... bad experience... Maybe a Honda Jazz or Toyota Altis/Vios would be nice...

sweetie6 SG

If is for work, i suggest toyotat altis or honda civic. Reliable and especially for female driver, almost no breakdown! trust me, been owners of these cars.

recommend that u down 40k and get a 3 year loan 4 the rest to buy a fit or vios. the monthly installments are affordable and u get liquidated cash for a rainy day.

personally if i had 70k, i'd dump 40k on a evo ix and the rest of the 30k to mod it Twisted Evil

4get about crappy made in thailand cars. Get the Swift.

pyromania SG

maybe you wanna elaborate more? like what type of cars are you looking for? what features or performance are you looking out for? basically, stating only the budget is not quite enough, you might want to consider other factors, then I guess other forum members would be able to give you very satisfied answers. =)

hmsg SG

reliability for toyota cars made in thailand is much better down n comparable to that of Japan. Since the Soluna days the thais have improved by leaps n bounds. How else would toyota HQ allow the camry to even be produce there? or let their cash cow (corolla) be manufactured there?

LCL SG

cant speak for reliability now as the VIOS has only been around for 2 years plus. The soluna is a testimony of failure in all honesty.
The vios interiors is flimsy and spartan. Doubt it will really last. Look at the # of VIOS and Altis for sale in the market. Can pick and choose dude.
As for the Camry, time will tell.
Look at the Honda Accord too, sales is not high at all.
