big green net bags filled with what appears to be hay or coconut husk fibres.. must have taken many trips or many guides to carry all of tt up there.

imo, these beginner-intermediate mountains appear quite similar after a while. nothing exciting or interesting about them.. can't tell 2 mountains apart from memory.

There are still leeches on some parts of the rivers...thats what i heard from the guide during christmas 2004 Rolling Eyes

Yep... There are still around near the stream before the mid hill base camp...

Just get the contact number of the rangers/Johor Parks and cfm when u gg.

I personally prefer those natural climbs when there are no guides , rangers or resorts below them .

Those waterfalls have very large natural camp sites , I had Camped under Pelangi Falls on the soft green grass around lust natural vegetation with the tall spraying waterfall on the backdrop. ( that was the Gng Tapis Trip)

I've just returned in June! There's a resort at the foot of the mountain and you can contact them...The resort looks splendid externally but internally it's worse than Costa Sands... If you're ever up there, don't ask questions about the mountain as advised by the rangers cos there's a legend and bad things will happen... Basically, climbing up would be steps cut into the sand or roots as steps... KFC...not to be mistaken as Kentucky Fried Chicken, it's Killer Field Course, get down on your hands and feet and CLIMB... The ants up there are as big as a typical avg. Singapore cockroach! Confused
