i think if you got a medical degree when you enter ns become medical officer immediately CPT already..isit?

Icemoon SG

Like quite impossible.

Even for scholarship holders, by the time they graduate from university and enter OCS, they'll be above 20.

Even after getting MBBS, u oughta be @ least in the mid twenties already...

No, they don't enter NS immediately as Captain..they still have to go thru MOCC...

Edit: Maybe saabster can help to enlighten us a bit here?

wuming78 SG

yes tt is if u haf a medical degree, and pass ur MOCC.

but consider this: unless the person is a genius, by the time he gets his medical degree he like likely to be at least 25.

i think its quite impossible to haf a 20 year old CPT, unless hes a child prodigy, a genius, or he signed on like when he was still in his teens.

Master -_- SG

i said mah.. mabbe he genius and got his degree by 18. u never know man! Wink

Yup, only a child prodigy who signed on at the age of 16 1/2( I think that the minimum age , maybe 17 1/2) after he got his degree, then maybe he will be a Capt at the age of 20.

But the problem is, if he is a child prodigy, he will be most probably aiming for higher target and go on to get doctorate and into more rewarding job to challenge his intelligent.

So far never heard of any child prodigy that have signed on in the SAF, therefore the story is not veryl ikely.
