Chelzea SG HI guys , i gt a dilemma I was thinking whether to pick themodynamics or BIochem for chemistry option topic for A level anybody can help give me advice which to pick.it is impossible for me study both so i have to settle on 1. heard dat biochem is memory work which may kill me ,but however themodynamics seems hard as well. \ thks
ndmmxiaomayi SG Do you have seniors doing it currently? Borrow their books, flip through it, and see which suits you better.
hegu SG are you better in physics or biology? if phy, take thermochem. if bio, take biochem. if neither are good , i suggest you do food chem
Chelzea SG but my sch gt no food chem lah mus choose either 1 is themodynamics dat hard? Cos i had enuff of memory work liao Btw,i dont take physics.
Chelzea SG Last year,e sch taught only 1 option which is biochem but this year u get to choose which option u wish to learn.
Chelzea SG So its easier Cos i probably will be avoiding sci/eng in uni cant be bothered whether helpful or otherwisr
alexkusu SG biochem really depends got some high powered calculations involved thermocrap has calculus involved
Eikei SG If the syllabus hasn’t changed, biochem is easier. Most of the stuff taught inside would broaden your knowledge of the life sciences. The basic concepts are still very Organic-Chem so you will not find it very different, unlike thermo.
