dun worry...steph also agree ns sucks

Ayukat SG

Freedom is the right of all sentinent beings.

Ayukat SG

*Yawns* Die....When there is life there is hope.

Ayukat SG

*Yawns again* So those posts that flamed me had substance?

Gedanken SG

And this one-liner is supposed to be an answer to.....? Confused

Very well, if you want to get into cliches, I shall respond in kind: "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants".

NathanG5 SG

u call that flaming? Laughing
so by posting one liner = more substance?

M SG

Jefferson =]
So quoted General Hummel to Captain Mason, who retorted with, "Patriotism is the virtue of the vicious" by Wilde.

Just a flashback, pardon the interruption. Mr. Green

ChrisYX SG

Yes, but freedom comes with a price.

The price is that we must be prepared to defend it when other people comes to take it away. Freedom is not defined by the first 4 letters.

Gedanken SG

Excellent, M! There was no interruption at all. The reference to "The Rock" was wholly intentional for its hackneyed nature, which suits this thread at this stage! Mr. Green

freedom will not be there, if no one wants to sacifice n only think of himself...
our freedom n good life today is due to the sacifice of our forefathers, who fought for what we have today.
to ensure that our children will have their freedom n continue to enjoy what we have achived today n their hope for tomorrow, does it really matter to just sacifice a few years of ns....
nothing is free in this world... n freedom will not be there if u don't fight for it.

kopiosatu SG

well, i've stated my point, i know that you're still a kid and you can't see the big picture.

u can continue yawning.

freedom is your choice.

and if u choose to not serve NS, then choose not to be in this country.

you CAN leave this country, the options are open, you're not taking it.

kopiosatu SG

can't change his mindset.

i accept the fact that people feel that NS is a waste of time.

what i see here is, the people who feel that way don't accept that we see it a different way. they refuse to believe that there are people who see a reason for NS and when those who hate it don't get their point across, they take it as a loss and we're all losers who believe in the positive side of NS

Ayukat SG

2 1/2 years is too long. How about 3 months? And how come smart people get to serve longer?

wuming78 SG

r u confident to fight in a war with 3 mths of training?

do u think ur peers and commanders will be confident with u, if u had 3 mths of training?

kopiosatu SG

he wouldn't know. he'll reply with some theory of his which sounds totally absurd.

and if he thinks this is a flame, think again. then again, he's not thinking

gary1910 SG

You need at least one year of training to be at least operational ready, at least for combat troops.

And one years of exe to hone your skills up to div level.

CHARGE!!!

^sylvia^ SG

my bf is serving ns now.. he always come home with a tired look and begin to sleep till the day he booking in.. Crying or Very sad too exhausted in training

kopiosatu SG

no need to be sad.

think of it this way, if you two can't even get through this, then the relationship isn't strong enough.

^sylvia^ SG

i'm becoming more independant now.. unlike last time i'm a sticky girl who sticks my bf around. Very Happy but now hardly get the chance to chat with him

Ayukat SG

No problem, if that day comes I'll just run away.

Ayukat SG

I think I’ll get a coach to train me up to the fullest and we’ll see who is the boss during NS. Hmm….
