Arrogant interviewers

Went for an interview for internship with a certain PR company who thought it was so great.

The interviewer was arrogant & has a superior attitude- the internship only pays peanuts & she interviewed me as though she's gonna give me a 100k per month job or smth. Tryg to look for my weak points and shootg me down. What the hell,man.

Nearly rolled my eyes at her.

Any of you had experiences with such interviewers before?

The worst kind of interviewer that i met were those who were acted professional and have a know it all attitude which they weren’t really that great. The best interviewer that i met so far were HR manager, they were really sincerce people.

They could be putting on a show. In the PR line, you will have to deal with difficult clients. How you react to them, is a small sample of your ability to tackle difficulties.

I handled the interview well, with composure, poise and fluency all intact-although what I wanted was to chop off the interviewers' head.

If it's a show, I shld receive a call frm them soon. If not, tt means, it's NOT a show.

i went to an interview which there were 2 interviewers b4...the hr manager was nice but the other interviewer had an stuckup attitude... n the way he sit n asks questions made ppl 1 2 bash him sia... Laughing

sometime i wonder, if the top could not set a good example, do they expect us to treat the customer/client well? i c less and less humane pp here, they ask with a crude remark like this: "whats yr problem?"'sarcastic and tactless, sometime i wonder what is their problem Rolling Eyes cant the pp here show more humane side.

remember...during interview when u r not happy its not because the company bad...its the ppl..the employees...the ones who interview u.

reports and interview results can be written and edited according to the interviewers' perception...your skills, experiences and qualification may be inferior or superior over your interviewer...whom may be your immediate superior in the position applied for...its politics...they do it to discourage ppl whom they 'feel' not fit for the position, or they may do it for fear of u riding over them if u were to succeed in takin up the position...

there's this funny interview i had with 2 interviewers one actually find fault in me when iu dun hav a driver's licence..i guess that's the only thing he had over me coz else i am better than him in qualifications, experience and exposure...all he can tell is probably his enjoyment stay at Batam/ Bintan while working there...sorry the truth is i can't drive a luxury car...take a life time to train me and i will still be an idiot...i can only drive Unimorgs and 3-tonners...and believe me driving monsters machine like that makes u the king of the road!

i can say take it easy lah during interview...what u think if u can't pass the interview most probably u can't get the job...but it doesn't mean u can't do the job...u just miss the opportunity to take up the position that's all. its tradition part of the procedure in job applications

I've met my share of nasty interviewers, but think again, if he/she can be so nasty for an interview, do you really want to work under that person? I dono abt you, but most probably I will not accept even i'm accepted. It could be a blessing in disguise too.

So rant out if that makes u feel better, but there's always a better job out there.

with such a snobbish person, u can forget abt joining this company. most of the time, the employee represents a company’s image. u can say that the company had failed in its basic preaching to its employee.

its not company...tell me any organization got ppl work honestly...got ppl never ever backstab lick balls to achieve their personal ends?...even the toilet cleaners got politics i tell u.....if not why so many grumbling and complains everyday?

its not the system...it the ppl...humans...and the human brains and hearts are very complex i tell u....very complex

i seriously agree that if an interviewer can b so nasty, snobbish when interviewing, much can b said of his/her character...n how it will b like to work under or together wif dat person...i dun believe in the crap where they say they need to 'behave' or 'act' in a nasty way to 'test' the interviewee...dats juz their own true-self or the plain truth is juz dat the interviewer dun like the interviewee...

i once got a job where i considered both interviewers nice n good mannered which during my duration of work, they r juz wat my 1st impression of them; nice people, realli works well wif their colleagues and all ppl...

I think you made a very good point. I am serious abt not acceptg the company even if they called back.

I mean, if the employees can be so snobby, why wld I wanna have anythg to do with them anymore?

I think ppl shld be treated with basic respect.

I didnt want to say this, but I believe your interviewer was probably subconsciously afraid of you usurping her position, since you are a young and pretty young lady. She was afraid and jealous. It would be a different story if the interviewer was male.

Next time, see if your interviewer is a male or female. If it's a female, before going in, you go toilet first, to mess up your hair and ruin your makeup. Try to look slightly ugly. Remember, the key is being un-threatening. If the interviewer is a male, remember to prune yourself up, and after you go in, cross your legs when you speak to him. Smile and gaze into his eyes.

This is common sense really.
