Hu de di was not the only founder of Tian Di Hui, he was one of the five monk who escaped when southern Shao Lin temple was burnt. Five of them decide to get even with the Qing emperor and they "Jie bai" as brothers to work on their revenge. They did not set up Tian Di hui "officially" yet.

The one who set up Tian Di Hui officially was someone with the nick "Hong Er"(Hong as in surname "Ang", Er as "2". That's why it is also called "hong men", many gangs around the world has the charater "hong" because of this.

download the HK version from the net, the mandarin version dont have that part, and the ending is different, similar case like Wu Jian Dao.

In the HK version of "election", Ren da hua killed Liang Jia Hui and his wife in the ending part and he buried them and ran away. In Mandarin version, he kill Liang Jia hui too, but get caught by police. And there are some scene being cut, like the part one of the gang leader ask the prostitute to keep jumping to see if her boobs are for real. And the part when they say the poem. Didnt have these scene when i first watched the mandarin version.
