Judging by the scale of the canopy with respect to the
understanding that the cockpit houses a maximum of 3, and also
assuming that the concept is of a hybrid surface effects/hydrofoil
configuration, it appears that the ship will be comparable in
height above surface with a small to medium sized yacht. This gives
ample 'high-ground' for surveying the horizon, since it is a recce
craft.
The height of the crew compartment as shown is also practical for
immediate boarding in high seas, as it allows boarding party to
just jump off from the craft onto the decks of supposedly most
likely craft employed for dubious purposes, e.g. dhows, speedboat,
trawler, sampans etc
Providing an aircraft-like cockpit allows the use of a single-piece
canopy for improved situational awareness ahead and to the flanks
of the craft, while ensuring low resistance to wind effects during
high-speed cruising chases.
The nose-mounted cannon is interesting but not sure how the gun
control system could work against disturbances from high
acceleration buffeting during speed chases as well as low
frequency, high amplitude peaks and troughs from tidal effects when
boat is stationary
