the pickup is quite different than that of TA.
you wants to get ahead in the first three gears ( first two gears
if possible). As long as you lead > 1 m, you can sqeeze the
other car into wall /roadside, it'll lose speed, so even he got a
car that is much faster in top gears and pickup overall, you still
win in pickup. today I vs an er34, it's faster in pickup overall
than my evo4, so I lower my first three gears shift pt a bit (5400,
5900, 6200, 6800), and won out the rest of way, of course I kind of
push him to the side.and block him a bit.
