cavsg SG scaled usually produced a design very fast, from the way the article is phrased, seems like we got problems working with them. lalee talk many years already still design, something wrong lah
NathanG5 SG Originally posted by CX: do i have MEN or do i have pussies? u think the men like to sit around a training shed, cold wet and miserable waiting for the rain to stop so we can go back to prone on the wet, muddy ground AFTER the rain stops??? forget it... this topic has digressed far enough. of course, i'm just happy that when on overseas exercise, there's no CAT 1 cos bad weather overseas usually means that its so bad, that u gotta cancel... like typhoon season in some places for instance... had to sit through 5 days of rain, mud and cold waiting for a typhoon... but it never came so we ended up doing the whole shit in the crummy weather. THAT'S soldiering. dude..u dun get it do u? its abt lightning threat...go read the the newspaper today..u know wat i mean abt lightning.. u disgress from rain to lightning n rain again n ask us to forget abt it?..so which is which? so are we talking abt CAT1 or just rain??? wats the use of having training for war..when u die from lightning strike before the war start even starts...nice one soldier.. im a hokkien peng..im a men...ive seen wat lightning can do to trees n comm set... my HQ get hit by lightning almost everytime when there is CAT 1.. nvm...guess death dun cross ur mind...
panzerjager SG Can take it that Ranger training no regards for TSR in SAF ? Probably sign indemnity during application.... Anyone heard of any S'porean/ SAF active guy sigining on with Foreign Legion ? Allowed or not ?
panzerjager SG 2 separate things: a) on topic of training safety...taking that SAF Ranger training for the sake of being the most real-to-war that soldiers can get in peacetime...is TSR thrown out the window for these guys. Or else they sign indemnity when they apply for Ranger course b) on topic of real professional soldiering (and mercenaries)...anyone heard of local ppl / soldiers signing on with the Foreign Legion ? It's an international merc organisation (in essence) paid for by French government for French interests.... Is it allowed for Sg-ian to do so (sign on merc force....for other governments or non-governments etc)
wuming78 SG a) i believe the TSR still applies to them, although well, due to their uniqueness they r prob given aloto autonomy and flexibility.. indemnity? dunno if they sign tt or not.. gotta ask one of them. b) yup. i think its possible for local soldiers, in fact, anyone to apply for it.
panzerjager SG For b)....wat dat would mean is dat sg government is allowing its own citizen to work against itself in the event of direct action by Foreign Legion....is in effect working officially as a spy/sabotuer ...
wuming78 SG well for tt matter tt applies to all countries - since the foreign legion, by rite, accepts applicants from any nations - not only singapore. im not certain of the details though. u may like to surf ard to find out more.
jacobs SG Da ge, ni shuo se mo? wo de england bu hao wor... If you take cover, how is it that you will get shot? Let me rephrase, army taught us our actions have to be so quick that even if we made a mistake it will be hard to spot. When i said i wasn't the one running around, i refer to that i'm not the commandos running around during their ATEC as someone posted as seen. Oh... what's REMF?
jacobs SG Just read the previous posts and replies. Ah…. What has using live ammo to do with the former? i don’t get it…..
Atobe SG Your posted photo of the ST Aero supposedly developed MAV-1 - being serviced, although smaller in scale, seems to have some semblance with the BOEING UCAV X-45A in flight Click to the following BOEING site for info and pics: http://www.boeing.com/phantom/ucav.html Other sites of UCAVhttp://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/ucav.htm http://www.aviationnow.com/content/ncof/ncf_n71.htm
cavsg SG from that photo, it seems that the aircraft doesn’t have flush riveting but looking at the one at AA04, that model had flush riveting. seems that the MAV-1 doesn’t have any ailerons also.
Gedanken SG Apologies for having given cause for you to take umbrage, jacobs. Rest assured that I shall be first in line to congratulate you upon your receipt of the Darwin Award.
