jacobs SG *Cheems*. When you are free enough, explain to me in simpler english that i can understand. Thxs, coz i felt like getting scolded in your language that only you can understand. Kinda scolding yourself you get me?
CX SG did u really pay him a compliment? didn't sound like one to me... or maybe i'm just misunderstanding the statement...
jacobs SG No, he wasn't. He was saying i'm an idiot. There's a thread in chit chat about darwin awards. Hmm... no point. This will contribute to nothing. If you still wish to clarify my earlier posts which i could have put it wrongly. Feel free to drop me a msg. If you don't wish to, it's fine with me.
[email protected] SG which kind of idiot will use live ammo in training and increase the chances of our boys getting killed in training?
wuming78 SG live firing without dry runs is actualli allowed as part of our trg regime - but o cos certain conditions mus be met. tt is abt as close as using live rounds during trg as i noe. o cos for the elite forces they prob haf more daring ways.
[email protected] SG i'll rephrase my question which kind of idiots will recommend using live ammo to teach the boys to take cover? what if they are slow in getting the idea of taking cover? so do we just happily kill them and call it training?
gary1910 SG Actually all soldiers go thru that during BMT. I think some kind of combat assualt course where there are GPMG live round fire way above your head where you Leopard crawl all the way thru the course. Pretty safe I believe where there is practically no chance of being hit . There is also other live firing where the soldiers this time will fire live round during the exe in section, platoon and even up to coy level. There is also the Battalion Defence live firing in one southern island, quite a spectacle for nite firing where you will see all kind tracer rounds from M-16 to GPMG, 84 & even 106. And you will also see the little parachute from the M203 illum round. Those who have gone thru this will know the "firework display".
gary1910 SG Well , the combat course during BMT teaches you to keep your head down and crawl toward your objectives. As for the rest except the battalion exe, even though you are not fired upon, you still need to do fire movement with live rounds, not something you want play around with, therefore you will take cover diligently.
wuming78 SG actualli even if u stand up and walk for the bmt battle inoculation cse, u wont get hit by the mg.
smisig SG hahah If I tell u wat is REMF I will get bann from here using foul language..go read Richard Marcinko books
lion02 SG just my opinion.. some of u might no agree though.. using of live rounds during training does not mean we have to shoot at each other or to be shoot at, so that we learn to take over. thats crazy.. no body wants that in my view, live firing is to build confident and responsibility of a soldier when coming to handle live rounds. as soldiers, we have to be confident in handling live rounds, and this is achieved through realistic training in live firing. but of course safety is the most important. no one wants to be injured or even kill during training. and its individual soldier's responsibility on the safety of himself and his buddies around him. taking cover is one of the teaching of getting safety, especially when you are doing flanking with live rounds, n you'll automatically take cover when ur doing it. as for the bmt cse with mg firing on top, u won't get hit even if u stand up and do jumping jets..
