I'm not so sure about the rest of the brands other than deuter which happened to be my first backpack quite a few years back.

Check out their aircontact system. I kind of like the non-stick feel behind my back when I go on a trek and it fit me to a T and comfortable carrying it. The minus point on the product is the strap is extremely fragile material and a slight cut will likely torn the whole fabric. (maybe my carelessness :lol Smile I hope they had improved on it.

You should go for comfort and fitting as priorty. Wink

Salomon's was not longer available in Sg since a couple of years' back already....need to buy overseas. You should buy more before you come back. Very Happy

there's a new salomon's place at suntec that a friend brought me to when I was back the last time .... that's where I got my 50% discounts ... Mr. Green

and of course, CC was carrying salomon before that too.... Laughing

can't remember, but since I got a 50% discount, I went wild there, bought a whole bunch of skins and jackets .... but of course, salomon's trekking shoes are the best .... Very Happy ... roam around suntec, sure to find one ... Razz

it's a good idea to get a good pair of river sandals also, ... I wear nothing but chacos .... but yeah ... you can only get them at CC's in Singapore, and they don't even do re-soles and re-straps anymore ....
