Love is the sacrifice of self for the benefitting of others.

WHen you love, you're thinking about what you can do for the other person, not what you can get out of it.

Love is also respect, knowing how to keep distance and give space.

When you would like to get together with the person yet if it's not the best for him/her, you wouldn't.

You would give without asking for returns.

It doesn't matter whether he/she likes you back or not, you'd just continue to like him/her and watch from afar.

What it means to love someone? When one is willing to work hard and put in lots of effort to live with the other party - that's a start of a good love relationship.
