i feel meryl lee is using studies as an excuse. the main reason
is she does not want to get knock out in the earlier stage - more
like kiasu attitude to escape reality.
put this in a coming scenario:
pple will questioned, "Meryl might has won the sg idol if she never
quit the contest halfway."
i feel that since majority callers/voters are female, most likely
the male contestant has advantages to win these competition. just
look at sg idol, star idol, superstar, whatever... winners are all
male. so meryl will fail like the rest of the gals.
