Windscreen Problem

Hi to all Car Owners,

I am having a windscreen problem with my car. Whenever I uses the wiper to wipe the windscreen during rainy days, the wiper seems not to be smooth and have sound. there is this 'tok-tok-tok' sound when it wipes.

I have went to the distributor service centre and they can't solve the problem for me. They have on goodwill changed the wiper for me.

Anyone have this problem too? Anyone can solve the problem for me?

Most probably the rubber worn out and needs replacement. If not the rubber, check the wiper is not warped or something.

skipping wipers are usually the result of the rubber blades not forming a proper seal with the windscreen to effectively guide the water off the surface. there are several reasons y this happens but usually replacing the blades itself would solve the prob.

did you use raxxx on your front windscreen? I also have such experience b4 but Kah Motor just do chemical wash on my windscreen and the problem is gone. Mine is not due to usage of raxxx but sand blast particles resided on my front windscreen…

Do you apply any solutions onto your windscreen?

did you spray any cum on the windscreen recently...cause dried cum might cause the wipers to skip some parts la....

or maybe..all u need to do is to adjust the wiper blades accordingly......

Nowadays, the wheather is hot..
As the rubber pad of your wiper gets hot it will melt a bit and there is a tendency that the rubber stick to your windscreen
Try to lift up your wiper when in the car park durin hot wheather

I thought that only happens to cheap cars. Anyway, I change my wiper to Bosch Topical wiper. It "tok tok" much much lesser now. The occasional rough wipe might be due to my "RainX" on the windscreen.

think in ur case, could be something wrong with the linkage betw the master and slave wiper.

wah lan eh, first time i hear this theory. external temp of the car will never reach high enough to melt the rubber on ur wiper lah. like that each time weather hot our car left rims only. left one pool of melted tires around it. Rolling Eyes

yup... dun hv to b too excited. only UV will affect the silicone blades making them brittle and they wun last as long.

other than tat, EDPM rubber designed for much higher operating temperature. local temp is still lower then summer in other countries.
